Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grades

 All students in grades K - 6 attend a computer class once a week. Throughout these grades, the emphasis is to teach computer skills which complement classroom curriculum. Students complete work and projects which reinforce a skill or a theme that is being taught in the classroom.

 Students in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grades begin to see and use the computer as a support tool to aid in the classroom. Research and exploration are coupled with the use of various software programs to produce finished products and projects. They learn research and search engine skills while learning about concepts like idea ownership, acceptable use, and basic “Netiquette.” As always students are taught how to be safe while on the internet.
