Our Kindergarten students said it best at this morning’s Lower School Chapel program…

“Thank you, God, for family and friends. Thank you, God, for everything!”

On behalf of our students, faculty, coaches and staff, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

If you are in the area on Friday evening, I hope you will come to Blackstone’s Grand Illumination, 6:00 pm at Seay Park. It will be an extra special night to be a Kavalier!

Our school has two honorees in the Mayor’s essay contest, 3rd graders Avery Gunn and Ashton Lafoon! Mayor Coleburn will celebrate their success and honor them in the opening ceremony on Friday evening–please join us!

We have a Christmas Cottage in Seay Park! Thank you, Mrs. Warner and PTO volunteers for the beautiful decorations!

We have a Christmasville KidZone at the Hawthorne Law Office on Main Street, next to the square. Hot Chocolate, cookies, make an ornament for the tree, Christmas stories… come for the fun! Thank you, Mrs. Frazier, Mrs. Motley, Mrs. Walters, PTO volunteers, Mrs. Schwabenton and the Upper School student volunteers! And a special thank you to the Hawthorne Law Firm for opening their doors to us!

Looking ahead to December, please make plans to march with us in the Blackstone, Crewe and South Hill Christmas Parades and enjoy our beautiful Kenston Forest parade float!

Best wishes for a happy and safe holiday,

Paul Zanowski
