The JV Kavalier Baseball team beat Fuqua 11 to 5!

The Kav offense racked up 11 hits and featured a very balanced attack, combining home run power, clutch hits, heads-up base running, important sacrifice hits that advanced runners at key times and quality at-bats that drew 6 walks from Fuqua pitchers.

Elijah Warner and Thomas Inge both hit home runs; Elijah went 2 for 3 for the day with a walk and 2 RBI’s; Thomas was 3 for 3 plus a walk, driving in 2 RBI’s and scoring 3 runs; Ryan Whitehead went 3 for 4 and drove in 3 RBI’s and stole 3 bases; Owen Marshall went 2 for 4, stole 3 bases and scored 3 runs; Remy Butts stole 3 bases, drew 2 walks and hit a sacrifice fly; Noah Phillips hit a double and scored a run and Matthew Norton walked and hit a sacrifice fly.

On the mound, Noah Phillips, Elijah Warner and Owen Marshall combined to hold the Falcons to 5 runs and 4 shut-out innings while blanking them in the final two innings. Noah earned the win, while Elijah notched a hold and Owen earned a save.
