The seven schools that comprise the Association of Virginia Academies sponsor a Creative Writing Contest, and this year Kenston Forest won first place overall. For the varsity category, three Kavalier authors swept first place honors: Libby Hawthorne, short story; Delaney Basso, poetry; Anna Clemens, essay. For the novice team Chance Whitehead won first place, essay; Margaret Walters placed third, short story, and Leslie Lu Walker represented the team in poetry.
