Kenston Forest School held a special program to remember and honor America’s veterans on Friday, November 9th. The colors were presented by the Nottoway High School Navy Junior ROTC Color Guard. Mrs. Patricia Mahaney sang the National Anthem. Juniela Perez, SGA President, led the students in prayer. Special music was provided by KFS 8th graders, JD Rimon and Sophie Crowder, and vocalist, KFS 6th grader Michaela Carson. The guest speaker was Colonel Greg Eanes, U.S. Air Force veteran, from Crewe, Virginia. Colonel Eanes retired from the U.S. Air Force after nearly thirty-four and one-half years of service, in which he was active duty for twenty-three and one-half years. He is currently a Samuel V. Wilson Fellow and Visiting Lecturer at the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest at Hampden-Sydney College.
