Kenton Forest School Opens BIG!
Kenston Forest School celebrated its 53rd First Day of School today, and its third consecutive year of strong enrollment growth.
Headmaster Paul Zanowski reported Opening Day enrollment has grown from 247 students in 2015 to 344 students this year.
“As we enter the fourth year of our school improvement plan, every facet of school life has been improved. We have invested over a million dollars to improve curriculum; faculty compensation and professional development; Student Support services; athletics, a comprehensive K-12 STEAM curriculum with a state-of-the-art STEAM Lab, and more. We are especially proud of the $200,000 we have raised for need-based financial aid. All of this makes our school better, and more accessible to Southside Virginia’s best students. That’s why more and more families agree: There’s never been a better time to be a Kavalier!”
KFS is excited to welcome new faculty, Brittany Quicke (1st Grade), Jordan Berkley (2nd Grade), Carrie Clarke (2nd Grade), Sarah Simmons (6th, 7th grade Math and PreAlgebra), Connie Hicks (Upper School Science), Megan Martin (Upper School English), and Nancy Echeverri ( Upper School Spanish) and new staff member, Bob Gunn.
