Kenston Forest Varsity Softball Team Earns VISAA State Division III Championship Title
The Lady Kavaliers ended their softball season overall record with conference and state play 26 – 7 on Friday, May 17th.
In the VCC semifinals the Lady Kavaliers beat the Southampton Academy Raiders 9-1 after losing twice to them in regular season play.
During the VCC finals held at the Dinwiddie Sports Complex on May 9th, the Kenston Forest Kavaliers defeated the Brunswick Academy Vikings 14-10 to become the VCC Conference Champions.
In the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association Division III state semifinals, KFS defeated the Brunswick Academy Vikings again 9-2 and advanced to the championship game against the defending State Champions Fuqua School Falcons. The KFS Kavaliers defeated the Fuqua Falcons 3-2 on May 17th at RF and P Park in Glen Allen, and earned the VISAA State Division III Champion Title. This is the 5th state championship for Kenston Forest School but the first since 2014 and first for head coach Jannon Coley.

KFS’s Daniel Parham Signs with Erskine University
Kenston Forest School Senior Baseball player, Daniel Parham, signed with Erskine University to play baseball there in the Fall of 2019. Daniel is the son of Robert and Amanda Parham of Crewe, Virginia.
KFS’s Leslie Lu Walker Signs with Hollins University
Kenston Forest School Senior Volleyball Player, Leslie Lu Walker, signed with Hollins University to play volleyball there in the Fall of 2019. Leslie Lu and her KFS teammates advanced to the VCC Championship game this past fall. Leslie Lu is the daughter of William and Melinda Walker of Baskerville, Virginia.

KFS’s Peyton Clary Signs with Shenandoah University
Kenston Forest School Senior Volleyball Player, Peyton Clary, signed with Shenandoah University. Peyton and her fellow KFS teammates advanced to the quarter finals of the State Tournament this past fall. Peyton was named KFS Varsity Most Valuable Player, VCC All-Academic, VCC 1st Team All-Conference, VCC All-Tournament, VCC Player of the Year, and Division 3 VISAA 1st Team All State. Peyton is the daughter of Chris and Tia Clary of Bracey, Virginia.
