Kenston Forest School

The Association of Virginia Academies (AVA) sponsors inter-school competition in Forensics, in which Kenston Forest School takes part.

Lower School Forensics activities include spelling, public speaking, monologue presentation, poetry reading, and prose reading.  The competition is for students selected from grades 5-7.

VOLUNTEER SPONSOR:  Nancy Hawthorne, Erin Duncanson, and Sallie Ann Buchanan

Upper School Forensics is open to all students in grades 8-12.  A faculty sponsor selects members for novice and varsity teams to compete in public speaking, monologue presentation, poetry reading, prose reading, creative writing and handwriting.

Forensics competition promotes individual skills and encourages creativity, self-expression, and sound thinking.
